Canine Behavior Assessment and Intervention: $575.00

Feline Behavior Assessment and Intervention: $475.00 

• Behavioral Assessment by telephone or video conference (lasting 1-2 hours)

• Written behavioral intervention or training plan, individualized to meet your pet’s needs

• Three subsequent sessions by telephone or video conference (up to 1 hour each)

These 4 remote sessions take place over the course of approximately 8-16 weeks. Dr. Maxwell will conduct a behavioral history assessment based on an interview with the family, then design an individually tailored behavior plan for you and your family to implement. Across sessions, the goal is to help you understand the cause of your pet's behavior and give you the tools you need to address it. For serious behavior problems, Dr. Maxwell will discuss with you your pet's long-term prognosis and response management requirements. 

Common dog behavior problems Dr. Maxwell is called on to address:

• aggression toward people in or outside of the home

• aggression toward other animals in or outside of the home

• fearful or avoidant behavior

• separation anxiety

• housetraining difficulties/urine marking

• excessive barking/whining

• jumping

• resource guarding

• pulling on leash

• reactivity on leash

• anxious or obsessive behavior

• chewing or other destruction in the home

• general noncompliance, failure to respond to basic cues/commands

Common cat behavior problems Dr. Maxwell is called on to address:

• house soiling/urine marking

• fearful behavior

• aggression between resident cats

• aggression toward people in or outside of the home

• ingestion of foreign objects (pica)

• overgrooming and other repetitive or compulsive behavior 

Services typically can be scheduled to begin within 2-3 weeks. Payment can be made by PayPal or check via postal mail. A 10% discount is available for services to animal shelters or rescue organizations.

Follow-Up Sessions: $80.00/hour

If you would like additional coaching or other assistance from Dr. Maxwell after completing the series above, you can arrange for individual 1-hour follow-up sessions in-home or remotely at any time.
